If you are sick with the Coronavirus/COVID19 or quarantined or caring for a child under 18 but your employer has not previously offered paid sick leave, you may be eligible for up to two weeks (80 hours) of paid sick leave, with a maximum daily pay of $511/day. (This is paid to you by your employer who is then reimbursed by the federal government.) More information .

If a member of your family is sick or quarantined or a child under 18 is home but your employer does not offer paid family leave you may be eligible for up to two weeks of paid Family Leave at 67% of your current salary, up to a maximum of $200/day. You may also be eligible for an additional ten weeks of paid Family Leave to care for a child under 18 at 67% of your current salary, up to a maximum of $200/day. (This is paid to you by your employer who is then reimbursed by the federal government.) More information

If you can’t work because your employer was ordered to close: You can use your sick leave first and then apply for unemployment compensation. More information
If you can’t work because your employer voluntarily closed: You may be eligible for unemployment compensation.
If you still have a job but are losing hours because of Coronavirus: You may qualify for partial unemployment benefits. More information
If you won’t work because a health care provider has deemed you high-risk: You can use your sick leave and you may qualify for temporary disability insurance. More information.
If you have the Coronavirus or symptoms of it and can’t work: You would have to use your own earned sick leave. If you use all of your sick leave, you may be able to apply for temporary disability insurance.
If you were exposed to the Coronavirus through your work and were told to self-quarantine: You may be able to use your sick leave or apply for workers’ compensation. More information

If your place of employment has a forced or voluntary closure due to Covid19 you could be eligible for unemployment insurance benefits (UI): A claim would need to be filed online, and the benefits amount would be determined through available wage records. More information
