County Psychiatric Emergency Screening Services to Hold Free Virtual Info Session
January 27 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 pm
SOMERVILLE, NJ – Warm the soul and expand the mind at “Coffee Chat with the County,” a free virtual information session which will benefit leaders of faith-based organizations. The presentation, to be held on Jan. 27 from 10 to 11 a.m., will provide participants with important information about Bridgeway Psychiatric Emergency Screening Services (PESS).
“PESS services are a valuable resource for the county, especially during this turbulent time,” said Somerset County Commissioner Director Shanel Y. Robinson. “The services they provide include 24/7 rapid mobile responses for early interventions during psychiatric emergencies as well as a full gamut of services to help support clients from the beginning of their road to recovery to living independently and productively in their communities.”
Presenter and Bridgeway PESS Director Allison MacFadyen, M.S., L.P.C., A.C.S, C.P.R.P., will discuss the history of PESS and its services, how to access those services, who will benefit from PESS services, and the populations that PESS serves. She will also describe how the pandemic has affected PESS services and what changes have occurred.
This presentation is sponsored by the Faith Based Subcommittee of the Somerset County Office of Youth Services and the Somerset County Bridgeway Psychiatric Emergency Screening Services (PESS). Somerset County Bridgeway PESS inspires and supports recovery from mental illness so individuals can become productive citizens who are fully engaged in their communities.
